Another $50, 000 boost for WA Pets in Need!

We are proud to announce that the Spay It Forward Program has once again been awarded $50,000 through Round 5 of the Animal Welfare Grants from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development!

This continued investment is a powerful endorsement of our work and will directly support vulnerable families across Western Australia throughout 2025 and 2026, providing access to subsidised desexing and microchipping services for their beloved pets.

At its core, this funding helps tackle some of the most pressing challenges in animal welfare—preventing unwanted litters, reducing pet overpopulation, and ensuring more animals can live safe, healthy lives within their homes and communities. For many concession card holders facing financial hardship, these essential veterinary services would otherwise remain out of reach.

We are incredibly grateful to the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development for their ongoing commitment to community animal welfare and for recognising the impact of accessible, preventative care.

With this support, Spay It Forward continues to build on its legacy as Western Australia’s longest-running continuous desexing program—helping pets stay with the people who love them, where they belong.
