About Me:

Introducing Ginger!

This distinguished, older gentleman is looking for a new home due to no fault of his own. Ginger is a 12 year old man and as a typical older gentleman he enjoys a few things; sleep, food and a smooch. He's a very relaxed boy, described as calm and well mannered, fond of a good snuggle and he's also been described as a lap cat.

Being older, he likes to spend his days lounging in the sunshine and his nights having a snuggle with you on the couch. He does have some spots where he doesn't enjoy being patted, namely his hips, but he'll let you know with a grumble when you're getting too close.

In his previous life he grew up with kids, dogs and other cats. However, in his foster home he hasn't been very impressed with getting to know new dogs so a new dog would need to be super respectful of him and leave him be. Same as with his cat foster siblings, he's still not very into new felines so he'd prefer to have his humans to himself.

Ginger would like an older home to live out his twilight years with people who can show him the love and attention he deserves. A home without small children is better for this man, hands that know how to be gentle and to respect his boundaries. If you have little kids that visit that would be cool too, as long as he's got somewhere to he can have a time out.

Medical Notes:

Ginger occasionally gets sore hips due to arthritis which also stops him from jumping well. Supplementing his diet with fish oil will help.
